Body Rocket names Matthew Hutchings as new head of sales and marketing

Body Rocket, the tech start-up behind the world’s first and only real-time aerodynamic drag force measurement system for cyclists and triathletes, has announced the appointment of Matthew Hutchings, joining the Brighton-based business as head of sales and marketing.

Having spent nearly four years as UK country manager at glucose monitoring wearable tech brand Supersapiens, Hutchings brings a wealth of experience in communicating and retailing technologically advanced high-performance sports products to discerning audiences.

Of his appointment, Hutchings comments: “I am extremely excited to have joined such an innovative company at the forefront of aerodynamic real-time data analysis.

“Body Rocket’s ​pioneering efforts in this field are truly impressive, and I am eager to contribute to this dynamic team. Together, I am confident that we can drive significant performance gains for triathletes and cyclists worldwide.

Speaking of the performance optimisation opportunity which Body Rocket product offers athletes, Hutchings notes: “The potential to revolutionise the way athletes train and compete through cutting-edge technology is a thrilling prospect.

“By leveraging advanced aerodynamic data, we can offer unprecedented insights and optimisations, ultimately enhancing athletic performance and efficiency. This role represents an exciting challenge, and I am ready to dive in and contribute to our shared success.”

With pre-orders for its system of sensors set to open on Monday, September 16, 2024, this represents a key period for the brand and one in which it looks to cap off many years of development.
