DVO Suspension has announced the addition of two new members to its global Research and Development team, as part of an ongoing drive to innovate and evolve in the performance suspension market.
The additions of Adam Walters in the newly created role of Director of Suspension Technology, and Maurizio “Tex” Maciulli in Suspension Engineering, highlights the company’s continued investments in its people and products.
“We’re excited to bring their high-calibre talents to our growing global team,” said Bryson Martin, DVO founder and CEO.
Adam Walters brings a wealth of suspension tuning experience to DVO, with a track record of working alongside some of motocross’ most accomplished athletes, including Chase Sexton, James Stewart, Ryan Dungy, Chad Reed, Justin Barcia, and many more.
Prior to joining DVO, Walters was the Suspension Manager for all of the Pierer Group’s Factory Racing programs. His extensive experience also includes serving as Head of Suspension for the iconic Pro Circuit / Kawasaki team. Before that, Walters worked as the Showa Factory Suzuki tech, where he and Maciulli first met.
Walters joins DVO with a passion for all things two wheels as a mountain bike rider, motorcycle racer, suspension tuner, and project leader.
Talking about Walters’s new role, Martin highlights: “By appointing Adam as the Director of Suspension Technology, we are taking our technical expertise and product performance to the next level.”
Maurizio “Tex” Maciulli joins DVO with a strong engineering and data analysis background, having started his career in rally cars before joining the HRC motocross team.
Maciulli then worked at Showa as an engineer and suspension tuner for Ryan Villopoto, Tyla Rattray, and more. Later, he took on the role of suspension engineering lead at the Pierer Group.
A passionate rider, Maciulli’s personal interests lie in Enduro and DH, and he’s even completed the challenging Trans Madeira stage race.
Of the news that Maciulli joins DVO, Bryson comments; “Having collaborated with Maurizio during the WP co-development project, we know he’s the perfect compliment to our U.S. and Taiwan-based development teams, thanks to his extensive experience in suspension design, data acquisition, and electronics.”
Dual signing as a signal of future intent
Reflection on the joint announcement, Bryson continued, “adding Adam and Tex to our R&D team has been incredible, I’m amazed at how quickly they’ve integrated and started innovating.”
Talking about the opportunity to join DVO, Maciulli commented: “I’m so pumped to work with such an amazing group of people; from the leadership team, the R&D team, plus the engineers in Taiwan, and bringing Adam in, all of us driven by the desire to design, test, build, and ride the best suspension, it’s incredible what we are already accomplishing together.”
