Saddleback has announced the addition of Kogel Bearings to its portfolio of brands for the UK and Ireland markets.
Established in 2013, Ard Kessels founded Kogel to resolve his long-standing frustration of poor quality bearings on premium bicycles.
Kogel Bearings has since built a range of bearing solutions for bottom brackets, wheel bearings and pulley wheels.
Ard Kessels, founder of Kogel, said: “Kogel is very excited to make a return to the UK and Irish market. We could not think of a better partnership than working with Saddleback, a company banking on two decades of experience in bringing high quality products to local riders and racers.”
Kogel products are chosen by the Trek Racing Programme, which includes the cycling powerhouses Trek Factory Racing and Lidl Trek world tour team.
The focus on speed, durability and performance gives the athletes the edge in racing and Kogel the credibility of product performance and durability at the highest level.
The brand’s focus on real world performance and pushing product evolution and innovation is in alignment with Saddleback’s ethos and that of the rest of Saddleback’s performance-focused portfolio.
Richard Mardle, Saddleback brand director, had this to say of the new partnership: “We are very happy to welcome Kogel to the Saddleback family. In a world of Performance, Kogel offers best in class reliability and speed. Products built for real world conditions, proven and chosen by world class racers.”
Building upon a global position in real world performance bearing solutions, Saddleback will be rolling out UK supply and supporting the brand across all channels to reposition it back into the marketplace after a short absence.
Kogel products are now available through Saddleback for the UK and Ireland.
