Sarto appoints Graeme Freestone King as exclusive agent in the UK

Sarto Bikes has confirmed the appointment of Graeme Freestone King as the brand’s exclusive agent in the UK.

Following the announcement, Freestone King said: “I visited the Sarto Bikes in Italy earlier this year and spent two fascinating days at their factory. It was very clear to me, very quickly, that this was a company that I wanted to be involved with.

“The exacting nature and superlative quality of the work that they do, align perfectly with my own mindset. To represent them will be a great pleasure and I look forward to introducing the brand to those not familiar with it.

“In particular, I want to work closely with both the factory and UK clients, to build on and extend the recognition of Sarto in the UK market.”

Sarto has a well-respected history in Italy, with decades of experience building frames in a variety of materials.

Last year, the Italian custom carbon specialists, launched the Raso TC (Tri-Composite), a special edition of its latest endurance model.

The current product portfolio consists of fully hand-made bicycle frames and forks in carbon fibre, produced entirely in-house in Padova, close to the heart of Italy’s bicycle industry.

The production has, in the past, centred more on building frames for a small number of exacting customers under their own names.

In recent years, though, the emphasis has moved towards made-to-measure custom framesets, which Sarto’s construction method, refined over many years, is uniquely suited to.

A range of off-the-peg options are also available, built using the same tried-and-tested methods and finished to the same standard.

Freestone King is well known to the UK cycle industry as Campagnolo’s long-time independent technical representative and creator of the Velotech network of technical training workshops.

Both of these aspects of his work will continue.
