Pearson has introduced the On And Off gravel e-bike with the aim of combining the benefits of an e-bike with the enjoyment of cycling.
Engineered for the versatile cyclist, it goes beyond traditional boundaries with a performance motor and a robust carbon frame, designed to handle both the road and off-road.
The On And Off’s design is complemented by a state-of-the-art, lightweight frame that offers durability without compromising on style.
A spokesperson for the brand added: “This bike is not just about getting from A to B; it’s about enjoying every moment of your journey. The powerful, yet whisper-quiet motor, enhances your pedal power subtly, letting you conquer hills and extend rides with natural ease.
“With this bike, you’re not just riding, you’re effortlessly gliding through every landscape, giving you time to soak in the scenery, knowing the next hill will be a breeze.”
The On and Off bike was designed to emulate the feel and performance of a traditional bicycle, ensuring it is lightweight, user-friendly, and enjoyable to ride.
To achieve a total system weight of 12.8 kg on the top-of-the-range model, Pearson selected specific componentry to meet these criteria.
This includes integrating one of the lightest e-bike motor systems available – the Mahle x20 – and a full carbon frame and fork at the heart of the bike.
With a range of up to 160km on a single charge, the On And Off stands out for its endurance. A range extender is also available, offering up to an additional 60km
In-house testing achieved more than 160km on a single charge. The route was Richmond Park’s Tamsin Trail so not a flat trail either.
The On And Off e-bike features Pearson in-house power modes, mapped to enhance the riding experience.
The two standout modes, Eco and Sport, cater specifically to different cycling needs.
Eco mode maximises efficiency, extending battery life for longer rides, making it ideal for commuting or for those long days in the saddle.
On the other hand, Sport mode unleashes the full potential of the bike’s power, providing an aggressive boost for climbing hills or fast-paced riding.
The On And Off comes in three specification levels.
