Marin Bikes bolster business with two new hires

The ongoing growth of Marin Bikes has resulted in two new hires in roles – UK Country Manager, and European Demo and Technical Training Coordinator – focused on supporting UK and European retail partners.

UK Country Manager

After 20 years representing Cannondale, GT Bicycles and Mongoose, for Hotwheels, Cycling Sports Group and PON, Dave Page is joining Marin UK as UK country manager.

Page brings many years of experience managing key accounts, and a huge number of IBDs, to the Marin family – it’s this experience which Marin sees as invaluable to achieving further success. *

Of the news, Page comments: “I’m pleased to say I’m joining the Marin family as UK county manager (and) I’d like to thank Matt VanEnkevort and David Lane for putting their trust in me.”

“As a keen mountain biker and gravel rider, I think I’ll fit right in with their product and brand ethos. Their history is one of the strongest in the industry and that’s something that other brands could only dream of, and I’m excited to become a part of that story.

“I’m looking forward to meeting all the existing dealers and will be welcoming contact from anyone interested
in becoming a new dealer.”

Page joins the Marin UK team on the 8th of April and can be reached at dave.page@marinbikes.com and via his mobile at 07545 325521.

*Current country manager Oli Brown will be stepping aside to focus on operations and brand management, something he is very excited to be able to focus deeper into. Marin would like to publicly thank Brown for his time as country manager over the last year.

European Demo and Technical Training Coordinator

With extensive knowledge and a fantastic understanding of the way bikes work, Marin sees Adam Wight as the perfect individual to spread awareness and education about its range of bikes – via the role of European demo and technical training coordinator.

The announcement points out that Wight always has the end consumer’s experience at the forefront of his mind, and the brand can’t wait to see how this translates to Europe-wide dealer and end consumer support.

“To say I’m excited to be joining Marin to head up all things demo, and training would be a true understatement. Marin’s motto of ‘made for fun’ aligns perfectly with my ethos for bikes in general and within an industry I’m so passionate about.

“I cannot wait to build new and strengthen existing relationships with the Marin retailer network whilst also sharing the love with like-minded riders at events throughout Europe. A big thanks to Marin for the opportunity to keep stoking the fire!”

Adam will be joining the Marin UK team on the 11th of April and can be reached at adam.wight@marinbikes.com
