Vittoria unveils new performance and sustainability focused tyres

This year’s Sea Otter Classic event marked a pivotal moment for Vittoria, seeing the Italian brand tap into 70-plus years of product innovation experience, evolving its performance range of tyres, whilst also introducing sustainability-focused developments.

XC racing performance innovation

With UCI World Championship XC titles in both long and short formats, Vittoria now introduces to the public what factory racers have raced on for the past two seasons: the new Peyote and Mezcal cross-country tyres featuring the all-new XC Race formulation.

The Peyote – optimised for hardpack to fine loose terrain – features a new tread and casing which show a reported 6% improvement in rolling performance, along with an 11% increase in grip, especially in the wet.

The World Championship-proven Mezcal also receives updates, with the new XC Race construction showing a Vittoria-stated 3% improvement in rolling performance and the same 11% increase in grip as the Peyote.

Mezcal also sees a new 2.4 size option, new sidewall colours, and new XC Race Formulation and technology.

Sustainability and performance for gravel

At the California event, as well as unveiling an array of new products, Vittoria introduced innovations resulting from extensive sustainability research.

Here, “Let’s change” is the Vittoria rallying cry – a call to action, urging the wider industry, and its customers, to rethink sustainability and redefine tyre technology.

On a product level, this is reflected through new product development, with the Terreno Pro T60 Mixed.

What does “best product” mean in today’s world? Vittoria answers this question with the Terreno Pro T60 Mixed gravel tyre – crafted from 92% renewable and recycled materials

Set to hit the market in June, this Taipei Cycling Show award-winning tyre is said to embody a fusion of sustainability and top-tier performance.

Vittoria claims that the Terreno Pro T60 Mixed is the most sustainable tyre ever produced, whilst also emphasising that it offers unparalleled speed and durability.

Expanding the Tyre-System Concept

In addition to tyre innovations, Vittoria has also introduced a full range of tyre inserts, redefining the concept of a tyre system.

Building upon the success of the Air-Liner Light and Air-Liner Protect Enduro and DH, Vittoria now presents a comprehensive line-up designed to enhance speed, suppleness, mileage and protection – all in a lightweight package.

With these inserts, Vittoria looks to solidify its position as a designer and manufacturer of premier tyre systems across all segments of cycling.

From track to mountain, Vittoria has consistently triumphed across all cycling disciplines. With these new launches, the Italian brand further reinforces its commitment to the off-road segment by expanding its line-up of new products.

Vittoria in the UK

In the UK, Vittoria is distributed by Madison, where stock of the new Peyote XC Race tyre and Mezcal XC Race tyre will be available from Thursday, April 25. Both tyres will retail for £64.99.
