Area Sales Manager South East – Extra UK

Extra UK, a leading parts and accessories distributor of brands such as Topeak, fi’zi:k, MET, Ergon, CLIF Bar, crankbrothers, Pirelli and more, are seeking to grow our team and recruit an additional Area Sales Manager. You will report to the Head of Sales and should be suitably located to efficiently service the territory in the South East of the UK.

Your existing skills will ideally have been developed within the cycle industry and include: The ability to create and develop relationships with customers, an innovative, self-starting and creative approach to work, the ability to identify opportunities and go after them, effective sales and presentation skills, strong commercial acumen, personal drive and ambition, and a passion for cycling and our industry.

The successful candidate will have the responsibility to: achieve sales targets and objectives within a given territory, attain distribution targets by customer, product and / or brand, realise and fulfil opportunities, acquire and maintain a thorough working knowledge of the product ranges, gain an understanding of competitive product and use it to your advantage, and plan the call cycle of the area in the most effective manner.

Editor – BikeBiz

As Editor, you will be responsible for overseeing and producing industry-leading news stories for the BikeBiz and MicromobilityBiz websites while contributing high-quality features for the BikeBiz monthly trade magazine. Reporting to the Media Director, you will possess excellent organisational and leadership skills, with the ability to work independently and oversee agenda-setting feature ideas and articles, as well as represent the brand at the various trade events the team attends.

You will play an integral role in maintaining the quality and reliability of content across BikeBiz’s digital and print platforms, with a sound knowledge of the importance of social media in today’s landscape. You will be required to commission, write, and edit content for print and online, so a keen eye for detail and fact-checking is a must. We are looking for a creative thinker with the ability to adapt to the evolving world in which the media finds itself.

A journalism degree or NCTJ qualification is a must. Leadership experience preferred. Prior knowledge of the cycling industry is not essential, but a general interest in bikes is preferable. An aptitude for social media strategy is key, as is some experience with InDesign.

This is no ordinary Service position. Providing great customer service is the most important part of our plans to grow the Canyon brand in the UK and our Technical Service team are the point of contact for Canyon service, repair and warranty consumers. Based in our Surrey Service Centre this role will primarily undertake Technical and Mechanical service along with warranty work across the whole model range of Canyon bicycles.

We’re looking for someone outstanding and exceptional in everything they do with the following skills and experience: Great knowledge of bikes and current trends of riding. It is vital that you’re passionate about bikes and have a desire to demonstrate this through the standard of your work. a proactive attitude with a work ethic that is unmatched. You will have a friendly, helpful and efficient manner and can use this to provide industry leading Technical Service to every Canyon consumer. Previous workshop experience is essential. Cytech qualifications are a must.
