Absoluteblack launches its first bike wall hanger

Absoluteblack has introduced its very first bike wall hanger, designed to offer “a blend of style and functionality” and inspired by the need for elegant, space-saving solutions.

Manufactured from responsibly sourced, FSC-certified, laminated beech and oak wood veneer and real Italian suede leather, it’s designed to fit into a modern living space.

A spokesperson for the brand added: “Our material of choice couldn’t be anything other than wood keeping the design timeless and ‘warm’, with padding panels out of real Italian suede leather to finish the look.”

Designed in the UK, the bike holder is handmade in the EU with wood sourced from European forests and it is optimised to showcase the bicycle, without unnecessary distractions.

This is a fully natural wood product so no two bike hangers are alike.

Wood grain structure, shade, number of knots will differ from hanger to hanger.

The spokesperson continued: “It’s ideal for those who don’t want to have their riding gear compromising the design of their living space.

“We wanted the hanger to look good without the bicycle resting on it, seamlessly blending in and becoming part of the interior design.”

Simplicity and functionality were the main design cues, creating a bicycle hanger for those who want to save floor space.

According to Absoluteblack’s in-house research, the majority of wall hangers don’t reach far enough from the wall to hang road bikes comfortably.

The brand has aimed to address that pain point by allowing bikes with a maximum handlebar size width of 48cm (measured at the widest point) and a bike weight limit of 15kg / 33lbs.

Each bike hanger comes with four bolts, four universal plugs, four bolt covers, and one Absoluteblack metal sticker for fitting.

Once mounted, it measures approximately 315mm (12.4in) wide / 310mm (12.2in) deep / 140mm (5.5in) high.

Absoluteblack is distributed in the UK by VeloBrands with the Premium Oak Bicycle Wall Hanger retailing at £99.90.
