Campagnolo wins Red Dot Design Award for MyCampy 3.0 app

Campagnolo has won the 2024 Red Dot Award for Brand and Communication Design with its MyCampy 3.0 app.

The accolade was awarded to the app – developed by the digital company Crispy Bacon – which enables Campagnolo’s electronic bike components to be “easily and intuitively managed directly from a user’s smartphone”.

Developed in collaboration with Crispy Bacon, a digital company specialising in software development, the MyCampy 3.0 app was selected, as is customary, by a jury of industry experts during the award ceremony held at the Konzerthaus in Berlin on 1 November.

The Red Dot Award celebrates excellence in design and, for Campagnolo, winning such an award is seen as validating its vision – that combining avant-garde technology with functional design is the path to success that consumers demand.

The award further emphasises the quality and utility of the app – a digital tool developed by two companies which both hail from Vicenza in Italy.

Campagnolo, with its 90-year history, is committed to innovation and development, in the new wireless era, and, as part of product development, has conducted in-depth studies, meticulous testing and substantial experimentation, all supported by continuous investment. For the storied brand, this is how it’s always been and will be even more so in the future.

The MyCampy 3.0 app was designed with a strong focus on the user experience, developed after listening to cyclists who use Campagnolo’s components and gaining a full understanding of what they need.

The app gives cyclists total control over their cycling experience, making it possible to monitor the Super Record Wireless groupset and the power meter, enabling simple and intuitive management of all aspects of performance and maintenance.

Super Record S wireless expands range.

Following on from the 2023 launch of the Super Record Wireless groupset and the power meter, September of 2024 saw the Italian brand introduce the Campagnolo Super Record S wireless groupset,

The new groupset expanded the range of ratios available at the crank and cassette, gaining some weight with its solid carbon crank arms, whilst also reducing the price when compared with its lighter Super Record sibling.
