Ridley introduces the Kanzo Adventure A

Ridley has announced the launch of its Kanzo Adventure A – an aluminium version of its popular and well-established Kanzo Adventure.

At launch, the brand points out “It is our ambition to offer a high-quality bike at every price point, which is why we are applying the winning formula of the Kanzo Adventure to an aluminium frame.”

Now, two years after the Kanzo Adventure, the Belgium brand is introducing the Kanzo Adventure A.

Today the brand has Kanzo Adventure, Kanzo Adventure A, and Kanzo Fast in its gravel line-up.

Geometry inspired by mountain bikes

The geometry of the Kanzo Adventure is said to be inspired by modern hardtail mountain bikes.

This means a lower bottom bracket, a slacker head angle, a longer wheelbase, and a steeper seat angle. Despite these features, the bike remains highly responsive thanks to a shorter stem.

Ridley has chosen to replicate this geometry in the aluminium version of the bike, seeing no reason to change what the brand views as a winning formula.

Customizable setup

Adventure by name, adventure by nature – and so it goes for the Kanzo A. Adaptability is evident in the bike’s setup options, featuring 12 mounting points on the frame and 6 on the fork. Bottle cages, a tool kit, bike bags… all can be attached to the Kanzo Adventure.

Lighting and fenders are also possible, where lighting cables are routed internally through the fork, ensuring a clean appearance and preventing cables from hanging loosely.

The integrated cable routing keeps them safe and prevents interference with bike-packing and handlebar bags.

Tyre size

The Kanzo Adventure A can accommodate tyres up to 47 millimetres wide – a significant increase compared to the Kanzo Fast (42 millimetres), ensuring that riders have options available for a wide variety of terrain.

Ridley gravel range overview

For a brand which has set trends in the gravel segment, the introduction of the Kanzo Fast is viewed as a key milestone. Making its debut in early 2022, the Kanzo Fast is positioned as the first-ever performance aero gravel bike.

In comparison, Kanzo Adventure takes the role of the ultimate bike for pure adventure, from technical singletrack to rough rocky paths and multi-day backpacking trips – the Kanzo Adventure is built to handle a wider variety of riding tasks and environments.
