Mondraker introduce all-new 2025 Crafty Carbon range

Mondraker has completely made over its Crafty Carbon with the launch of the 2025 bike, equipped with the new Bosch CX motor and removable 600Wh or 800Wh batteries.

Positioned as Mondraker’s ultimate, full-power, enduro e-mountain bike, the Crafty Carbon is engineered around the 29” wheel size and delivers 160/150mm of travel.

Five builds are available, in Five different sizes, with two different chainstay lengths depending on size. The RR S, XR and RR SL are carbon fibre throughout, whilst the R and RR builds are built on a carbon fibre frame with an aluminium rear triangle.

The brand’s flagship e-bike counts on an all-new carbon fibre frame manufactured from what Mondraker calls “Stealth Air Carbon”.

Talking size-specific chain stays – Crafty Carbon is the brand’s first bike to offer two different chainstay
lengths – the S, M, and ML sizes get 455mm chainstays, while the L and XL sizes grow by one centimetre to 465mm, ensuring that regardless of frame size the ride ‘feel’ stays consistent throughout the range.

Frame design language and geometry

The frame’s design gives the bike a distinctive Mondraker aesthetic and silhouette, keeping brand fans happy, whilst also incorporating Bosch’s new removable batteries.

The new design is also one degree slacker than the previous generation of Crafty Carbon, making the 2025 model more stable at speed.

As well as the new 64.5° head angle, the new frame also comes with a two-position (standard and low) flip chip on the lower shock mount which means you can modify the bottom bracket height by +/- 0.5mm and the seat and head tube angles by +/-0.35° to better suit your style or terrain type.

Bosch CX Performance

A significant update to the new Crafty Carbon range is the addition of the 2025 Bosch Performance CX system.

The CX, which has been an intrinsic part of every Crafty Carbon since its launch in 2020, now incorporates an updated design architecture with two mounting points instead of three, and a 100g reduction in weight, in conjunction with a reduction in its overall size.

The latest update of the Bosch CX packs the same 85Nm of torque and 600W peak power as the previous model but now offers far better power delivery and control. Motor noise is also reduced, as has been widely reported, while pedalling and coasting, and mechanical rattles when riding downhill have been eliminated altogether.

Removable Batteries: 800Wh or 600Wh, and 250Wh range extender

The reduced system weight of the motor and 800Wh battery combined results in a 500g weight saving compared to the previous generation Crafty with the 750Wh battery.

The Crafty Carbon R and RR come fitted with the 800Wh battery for greater range, while the RR S, XR and RR SL models come with the 600Wh version to keep the weight down. That said, the batteries are removable (and interchangeable) via a quick-lock system.

All models and frame sizes of the Crafty Carbon offer Powermore range extender compatibility, delivering an extra 250Wh, easily fixed to the main bottle mount on the downtube. With an approximate weight of 1.5 kg, the Powermore range extender is light and easy to carry either on the frame or in a backpack.
