Shimano refreshes Pro Stealth Superlight saddle and Vibe Aero cockpit

Shimano’s in-house accessory brand Pro has refreshed its line-up of Stealth Superlight saddles and Vibe Aero cockpit products.

The new Pro Stealth Superlight is lighter than the original, and maintains its predecessor’s comfort and performance

Forged around a handmade, single piece, carbon base and rails, the Pro Stealth Superlight Saddle is designed for competitive road cyclists, and encourages a forward position to allow riders to hold an aerodynamic position more comfortably.

Developed in-house at Pro’s global head office, in Eindhoven, the Netherlands, the Pro Product team made additional weight savings by updating the lay-up of the handmade carbon base.

Combined with the distribution of lightweight padding – based on pressure mapping data, in collaboration with Pro’s sister-brand bikefitting – the team shaved 15 grams off its predecessor.

The Pro Stealth Superlight Saddle utilises a large anatomic fit cut-out and wide nose. Comfort is further enhanced by using a lightweight, yet dense, EVA padding.

A PU cover stops the saddle’s padding from absorbing water. The Pro Stealth Superlight Saddle is available in two widths: 142mm or 152mm and tips the scales at a claimed 130 grams.

The new Pro Vibe Aero Carbon Handlebar and Pro Vibe Aero Stem combine aerodynamics with optimisation for a customisable cockpit

By combining an aerodynamic handlebar and stem this Pro cockpit gives cyclists the benefits of an integrated cockpit without the potential bike fit drawbacks.

Featuring a T700 and T800 UD Carbon construction, the new handlebars have aerodynamically optimised tops, which also boast an anti-slip coating, and a 10-degree forward sweep.

This narrow rider profile is also improved by the handlebar’s narrow width and the inward sweep of the STI clamping area.

The 37cm-wide version has a 126mm drop and 77mm reach, and weighs a claimed 240 grams.

Available in three widths, from 37cm to 41cm centimeters, the real benefit of the handlebars is compatibility with standard31.8mm clamping diameter stems.

Designed to be used with the new Pro Vibe Aero Stem, available in six lengths, each stem has a negative 17-degree angle option.

The functionality of the Pro Vibe Aero Carbon Handlebar is designed for a variety of cable routing styles: when partnered with electronic shifters the hydraulic brake hoses and electronic wires can be hidden inside the handlebar, routed into the Pro Vibe Aero Stem and into the headset of compatible bike frames.

The handlebar also features dedicated placement points for Shimano Satellite Shifters to allow for shifting from the tops.
