Why Uplift?

Given the current demographics of the cycling industry, which remains predominantly male – we’ve observed an unmet need for young aspiring female talent to have female leaders to speak to, and learn from (especially where this can’t be done within their existing organisations).

This observation has been corroborated from speaking to women in the bike industry, where significant numbers have expressed a real appetite and desire to have access to female leaders – so they can benefit from talking to those who have already successfully navigated the early part of their career, in an industry that can present additional hurdles.

How it works

The mentorship programme pairs future female leaders with mentors from a hand picked network of experienced women in leadership positions.

The mentors will provide invaluable access, insight, guidance and advice that will help future female leaders develop even more successful careers.

Uplift has the ultimate aim of helping to accelerate the progress and number of female leaders within the cycling business in the future, by creating strong networks, building confidence and increasing the visibility of female role models in the bike industry.
