VHS Slapper Tape 3.0 in black fitted to a mountain bike

VHS launches Slapper Tape 3.0 with a host of improvements

VHS has introduced the latest iteration of its popular Slapper Tape.

The VHS Slapper Tape 3.0 sees a number of improvements for the third generation including: a wider base to wrap around the entire chainstay, a softer silicone, thinner bumps thickness, and angled bumps. An embossed VHS logo has also been added.

Further enhancements have been made for stores that stock the range too.

The packaging now has a window/hole so customers can see and feel the product in the shop and a new adhesive makes for a far more user-friendly experience.

The kiss cut adhesive enables users to peel sections off one at a time for easier installation either at home or in a workshop

For users who do decide to install at home, new instructions are available via an updated QR code.

Despite all of these improvements, the VHS Slapper Tape 3.0 remains at same price point as its predecessor: £24.99

Adam Thomas, brand manager at VHS’ UK distributor Apex Distribution, said: “We are proud to announce the latest adaptation of the highly sought after VHS Slapper tape. A favourite among World Cup racers, because we all know a quiet bike, is a fast bike.

“Straight from a secret lab in New Zealand, they have released a whole host of refinements to improve on an already great design.”

Apex Distribution will have stock of black products only and are expecting these to arrive throughout February.

Apex, based just outside of Bedford, was founded in 2020 to support mountain bike workshop Plush and retail offering Brink and has distributed VHS in the UK since June last year.

The distributor specialises in mountain bike products and already offers a number of brands including DyedBro frame protection, Ohlins Suspension, Sensus grips, and Mountain Flow lubes.
