Swytch launches Go e-bike conversion kit

Swytch Technology, one of the UK’s leading e-bike conversion companies, has announced the launch of the Swytch Go e-bike kit, an affordable e-bike conversion kit battery.

The Go Battery comprises the same 250W front wheel motor and pedal sensor as with other Swytch products, and this can be installed on any bike, according to the brand.

Since its inception in 2017, Swytch has delivered more than 85,000 Swytch Kits to customers worldwide.

The Go Kit collection offers various battery sizes, providing customers with more range options coupled with affordability.

With the Go battery offering up to 20 miles of range, the Go+ up to 40 miles, and the Go++ extending the range in excess of 60 miles, users can choose according to their needs.

In conjunction with the introduction of the Go Kit, Swytch has been awarded a Red Dot Design award for the second year in a row, with the heavily sought-after accolade reinforcing the company’s commitment to exceptional quality.

While the Swytch Go Kit uses equally advanced battery technology as in the Swytch Air, the Go Kit features a simplified design, including a Velcro strap mounting system, enabling users to attach the battery directly onto any bike frame, while keeping the cost low.

Moreover, the Go Kit is designed to withstand all weather conditions, boasting an IPX6 waterproofing standard and complies with the newly introduced UL battery safety certification.

Oliver Montague, Swytch CEO, comments: “This is an exciting time for Swytch. Consumers are looking for more affordable and sustainable transport options, and the Swytch Go Kit is the ideal solution. Installation has also never been easier, so anyone can enjoy the benefits that electric bikes have to offer.”

Launching the Go, Go+, and Go++ to the market, Swytch has already sold 5,000 Go Kits to existing customers.

The Go Kit is available from £299 for those who wish to join a waitlist or £599 for an immediate purchase.

Alternatively, a payment plan of £28 per month is available to customers.

The Go Kit will also be available to buy in Swytch’s network of stores later this year.

Dmitro Khroma, Swytch CTO, adds: “Our company mission is to make e-bikes accessible to everyone. So in reaction to consumer economic pressures, we wanted to bring down the entry-level price point for customers to pre-order a Swytch kit to just £299, but without compromising on quality, performance, or the safety of our batteries.

“These quality and safety features include ensuring that the battery is water-resistant, impact-resistant, and shock-resistant, and have been thoroughly tested to the highest standards so they are safe to use and recharge at home.

“By redesigning the battery pack with a larger form factor, embedding the power electronics inside the pack together with the battery, and designing a super-simple mounting solution that uses Velcro straps to strap the battery pack anywhere on the bike, we managed to bring down the price significantly. Plus, as an added bonus, the result was an e-bike kit that is even easier and faster to install, and with increased range of up to 60 miles.”
