Standert adds two new colours for Kettensäge range

Saturday, July 13 saw German brand Standert showcase two new colourways available on its Kettensäge alloy gravel race bike.

Gravel racing in the Karoo desert

The Kettensäge, sporting “beautiful Cherry Kiss red” and “brilliant beige Team” colourways, were put through their paces at the Standert-supported Road to Desolation gravel race in South Africa’s Karoo desert – a race route that runs through 179km of unforgiving terrain, with nearly 3,000m of elevation gain.

Handcrafted in Europe. Made for racing

Handmade in Italy, the Kettensäge takes the racing DNA of Standert’s flagship Kreissäge RS performance road bike and translates it into gravel racing.

Lightweight and designed for racing, the bike uses state-of-the-art Dedacciai Aegis aluminium tubing throughout. The word Kettensäge is German for ‘chainsaw’ – here the brand points out that the bike is “designed to cut through the competition”.

The new colourways are designed to further elevate handcrafted in Europe Standert framesets, matching stunning paint jobs with best-in-class componentry.

They truly remove the headaches from integrated headsets.

  • UDH (Universal Derailleur Hanger) – designed to optimise shift performance as well as create a sensible solution for replacing damaged hangers. It’s becoming the standard and is available in almost every bike shop in the world.

  • Aegis Tubing – in collaboration with Standert’s partner Dedacciai. State-of-the-art light tubing, designed for racing and high-performance aluminium bicycles.

  • Tyre width – up to 45mm

  • Top tube snack bag mounts – for mid-race fuelling

  • Standert Integrated Headset – custom engineered, designed and CNC’d to perfectly match Standert signature 56mm headtube
