DJI showcase Amflow eMTB at IFA Berlin consumer electronics show

Global consumer electronics innovator DJI is taking its Amflow eMTB to a place no other mainstream bike brand could or would consider: IFA Berlin – the biggest consumer electronics show in Europe.

Having captured the attention of the entire cycling industry at Eurobike 2024, the team from DJI is now showcasing its Amflow eMTB and the Avinox Drive system to an audience about as far outside of the traditional cycling expo space as could be imagined.

The value of taking Amflow to IFA is twofold:

  1. Take an eMTB innovation leadership position with an audience which knows DJI as a technology and consumer electronics innovator – an audience segment that is not (yet) a cycling audience.
  2. Introduce DJI’s established customer base to a product, brand new to its portfolio, which has a strong cross-over lifestyle appeal.

“We are excited to showcase our latest products at IFA, Europe’s premier consumer electronics show,” said Christina Zhang, senior director of corporate strategy at DJI.

“Our aim is to demonstrate how our cutting-edge technology can inspire creativity and transform ways of living among both seasoned users and newcomers.

“This year, we’re particularly thrilled to highlight our new palm-sized drone for vlogs and revolutionary electric mountain bike innovations, which open up new possibilities for outdoor adventures.”

Amflow PL and DJI Avinox overview

The recently launched Amflow PL is positioned by DJI as the industry’s first full-power eMTB with a size and weight equivalent to that of super-light models.

It is also the first electric mountain bike equipped with the DJI Avinox Drive System, which integrates DJI’s cutting-edge motor and battery technology, offering unprecedented performance and smart features for e-bikes. The DJI Avinox features:

  • A compact, lightweight 2.52 kg drive unit that delivers an impressive 105 N·m of torque.
  • Smart-Assist algorithm that provides multiple assist modes for customizable riding experience.
  • Rapid recharges in 1.5 hours from 0% to 75% utilizing GaN fast charging technology.
  • A 2-inch OLED full-colour Control Display as the interactive hub, enabling connectivity between the Drive Unit and a mobile device via the Avinox app.

At Eurobike 2024 Rob Hancill – better known as Rob Rides eMTB – took a detailed look at both the Amflow eMTB and the Avinox Drive system, also talking with Ferdinand Wolf, creative director DJI Europe, exploring the thinking behind the launch of the products.
