Evans Cycles has opened a new Bristol store, forming the latest part of the brand’s ambition to further its presence across the UK with longer-term ambitions to become “the go-to destination” for cycling.
The 3,300 sq. ft. site, which opened last Friday, August 30, and includes a service centre and a 150 bike showroom, is an elevated relocation from the current city centre site which it has occupied since 2007.
This opening will be joined by another new store in Sheffield’s Meadowhall Centre, in September, which will be attached to the new concept Frasers flagship store, bringing more of Frasers Group’s brands to the centre.
The new Bristol store will stock a complete range of cycling brands across bikes, e-bikes, clothing and accessories along with a workshop for servicing and repairs and the facility for web click and collect.
Russell Merry, managing director of wheels at Frasers Group, said “We remain big believers in bricks and mortar retail for cycling.
“Bikes are a considered purchase and customers value the guidance of a knowledgeable team member as well as being able to see and touch the bike in front of them, before making a choice.
“The new Evans Cycles site in Bristol demonstrates our commitment to investing in and improving the locations we currently occupy and opening new stores.”

To celebrate the opening, Evans Cycles are giving away a prize bundle worth in excess of £6,500, guaranteeing the store’s first 150 customers a prize through the Ultimate Riders Raffle.
This is the latest update from Evans Cycles as it continues to strengthen both in-person retail and e-commerce.
Last year, the company launched an extensive dropship programme, partnering with suppliers including Extra UK, Silverfish, Cambrian, and Upgrade, to extend its online listings, in order to offer an extended range of products and collect insights into customer preferences.
