Tandem Group become Dashel exclusive UK distribution partner

Tandem Group has announced a new partnership with Dashel Helmets, becoming the exclusive nationwide distributor for the brand.

Dashel Helmets launched in 2017 after five years of development, emerging from the Southwest of England with a clear mission: To produce attractive, eco-friendly helmets that meet the highest safety standards.

Manufactured in Plymouth, Dashel operates as a B Corp Certified company, exemplifying a strong commitment to sustainability by using renewable energy and implementing a zero-waste approach in its production process.

This collaboration strengthens Tandem Group’s portfolio of historic British bike brands including Dawes, Claud Butler, Falcon, Elswick, and Squish, an award-winning children’s bike brand of the year recognised for its lightweight design.

Tandem Group CEO, Peter Kimberley, comments, “We are dedicated to giving our dealer network access to leading cycling brands, and Dashel is a perfect addition.

“This partnership allows us to offer a unique, sustainable product that supports dealers and provides customers with a British-manufactured, stylish and quality helmet option.”

Based in Birmingham, Tandem Group has earned a reputation for excellence in cycling distribution, from designing to delivering a huge range of quality bikes to its extensive network of retailers and independent dealers nationwide.

The business also has an exclusive range of own-brand iconic licensed wheeled toys including MoVe, Bluey, LOL and Stitch, Peppa Pig, Spidey and His Amazing Friends, Barbie and Sonic.

By bringing Dashel into its line-up, Tandem adds a brand known not only for high-quality protection but also for its stylish, sustainable approach to helmet design.

  • Through this partnership, Tandem Group will exclusively offer Dashel’s popular ReCycle and Ocean Edition adult helmets to UK retailers, available in multiple colours and sizes.
  • These helmets, designed for urban cyclists, feature durable materials with a low environmental impact.
  • With Tandem’s next-day dispatch service, the dealer network can reliably stock these helmets and offer customers an efficient, eco-conscious option for cycle safety.

Dashel also extends a unique support offer for its customers: Should a helmet be damaged in a crash, customers are eligible for a discount on a replacement and asked to send their damaged helmet back for recycling.

In sharing the news, Catherine Bedford, founder of Dashel, stated: “We couldn’t be more thrilled to partner with the team at Tandem. When I first designed our helmet, it was with urban cyclists in mind, but it’s been an amazing surprise to see just how many people across the UK, not just in cities are choosing our helmets.

“Partnering with Tandem opens up an incredible opportunity to reach even more riders through a dedicated independent bike network. We are really excited about this next stage of growth together”.
