About us

We are a busy, independently owned cycle store in the Cheshire city of Chester. We are looking to recruit a full-time sales lead to complement our existing team. We deal primarily with customers looking for high-end bicycles, who expect the highest levels of service.

We also run an active service centre, offering repair and maintenance options for most brands of bikes.

  • Cycle mechanic skills are welcome but aren’t essential for this role

Duties will include

  • Actively pursuing all sales opportunities, providing honest advice, tailored to a customer’s individual needs.
  • Maintaining a tidy, smart, safe and well merchandised shop floor.
  • Using EPOS systems to process sales from start to completion.
  • Providing excellent levels of customer service whilst dealing with customer questions, queries and issues.
  • Working as part of a team, to complete daily and weekly tasks.
  • Ensuring the safety and security of the retail floor team followed by the retail space and stock.
  • Delivering above target KPI performance metrics.
  • Supporting the Store Leader with stock and inventory management and reporting.
  • HR functionality; work with Store Leader to manage processes for the retail floor e.g. disciplinary, values, ethics.
  • Supporting the Store Leader in the development of the retail floor team including appraisals, probationary reviews and target setting.
  • Building strong and effective relationships with key stakeholders throughout the broader business.
  • Representing the business in an industry-leading way.

Salary: DOE

Full-time, 5 days out of 7

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £24,000.00-£28,000.00 per year

Experience:

  • cycle industry: 1 year (preferred)
