Partnership between the Royal Dutch Cycling Federation (KNWU) and Kalas Sportswear

Kalas Sportswear, a leading global manufacturer of high-performance cycling apparel, has announced a new partnership with KNWU, the Royal Dutch Cycling Federation. This collaboration, which will span four years starting in 2025, is built on a shared commitment to excellence, innovation, and the promotion of cycling in the Netherlands.

“We are thrilled to partner with KNWU and bring our expertise in cycling apparel to them,” said Josef Filip, CEO of Kalas Sportswear. “This partnership will allow us to collaborate with one of the largest cycling federations in Europe, sharing our passion for development and performance while providing best possible service to all riders and members. We have a lot of experience from cooperating in a similar mode with the UCI WorldTeam Alpecin-Deceuninck or the Czech Cycling Federation. For the last eight years we also were official kit supplier for Great Britain Cycling Team. Now we welcome KNWU to our partnership family.”

Kalas, renowned for its innovation and commitment to the R&D of cutting-edge cycling clothes, will now serve as the official kit supplier for KNWU. One of the main objectives of the cooperation will be to prepare Royal Dutch team perfectly for the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles. The partnership will also offer KNWU’s large and passionate membership access to premium cycling apparel to meet the needs of riders at all levels, from beginners to professionals.

KNWU, with its extensive network of cyclists and commitment to promoting the sport at all levels, sees the partnership as a perfect alignment. Kalas’s focus on sustainability and advanced textile technology aligns perfectly with KNWU’s mission to support the future of cycling while prioritizing environmental responsibility.

“With Kalas, we have found a partner that perfectly aligns with our values and goals in elite sports, recreational sports, and sustainability. We look forward to collaborating to provide our riders with the best performance clothing during international competitions and, of course, on the road to LA 2028, where we aim to excel both on and off the bike,” said Daniel Heijne, KNWU’s Commercial Director.

The four-year partnership is expected to create additional opportunities, including special edition kits, exclusive member benefits, and further engagement initiatives aimed at growing the sport of cycling in the Netherlands. This collaboration signifies the beginning of a new era for both organisations, as they work together to support the cycling culture of the Netherlands.
