Bike Bins launches on Kickstarter

Bike Bins has launched on Kickstarter.

The Bike Bin is a bicycle pannier bag replacement, and it’s made from recyclable materials in Britain.

Bike Bins was originally developed by Sam Lowings, a retired engineer and property developer, and has now been taken over by Phil Finden to relaunch it into the bicycle industry. With 18 years of cycling related experience, he brings a wealth of knowledge from the likes of Garmin, Knog and bike retailers.

The product is “unlike current pannier bags, that offer poor protection from the elements or very little bump and knock protection,” said a statement. “The 2.5mm plastic construction not only provides that much-needed defence for your precious cargo, but is also heavily water resistant and lockable.”

It has a 17.5ltr storage capacity, and the Rixen and Kaul ‘Klickfix’ fittings provide strong attachment on most pannier racks for the front and rear of a bicycle.
