Albion and Pertex co-sponsor 2025 Mountain Race series

Albion and Pertex have announced they will co-sponsor the Mountain Race series for 2025 and beyond.

The three Mountain Races – Atlas Mountain Race, Hellenic Mountain Race and Silk Road Mountain Race – have established themselves as some of the most prestigious and inspiring races on the ultra-distance calendar with their combination of challenging terrain, beautiful and remote locations, competitive racing and the community that races each year.

The Mountain Races are the creation of Nelson Trees, starting with the launch of the Silk Road Mountain Race in Kyrgyzstan in 2018. The first edition of the Atlas Mountain Race in Morocco took place in 2020, and the third race in the series, the Hellenic Mountain Race in Greece, started in 2023.

The decision by Albion and Pertex to co-sponsor the series extends their strong partnership. Working primarily on products, the two brands started working together in 2021 on the Albion Zoa range but they have collaborated on events, races and storytelling over the past few years.

Albion co-founder Jack Howker said “We’re excited to join together with Pertex to support the Mountain Races, which are bucket list events for many ultra-distance cyclists.

“Albion products, including those that use Pertex fabrics, have already been used to ride, and to win, these races and we are looking forward to supporting the series as it continues to grow and inspire cyclists all over the world.”

Race Director Nelson Trees said: “As we head into 2025, I’m very pleased to welcome Albion and Pertex as sponsors.

“Both brands embody the spirit of outdoor adventure which sits at the heart of the races, so it feels like a very natural fit. I am looking forward to the next chapter with their support.”

Entries for the 2025 series open with the registration for the Atlas Mountain Race having gone live on Friday, October 18. Registration for the Hellenic Mountain Race and Silk Road Mountain Race will open up in November and December.
