Alé partner with the UCI Track Champions League 2024

Alé, the Veronese, Italy-based manufacturer of cycling clothing, has shared that its partnership with the UCI Track Champions League will continue in 2024.

The news sees the manufacturer continue as the official kit supplier and an integral part of celebrating the world’s best track riders during season 4 of the UCI Track Champions League.

For the event, Alé will produce almost 300 made-to-measure skinsuits that will be worn by the world’s best track cyclists. The athletes will compete in a series of five races, which began in Saint-Quentin-En-Yvelines on Saturday 23 November and finishes in London (Lee Valley Velopark) on 6 and 7 December 2024.

Alessia Piccolo, CEO of APG, the company to which Alé belongs, commented: “Our partnership with this event, which is a landmark for the track movement, continues with great satisfaction.

“The best athletes of this fascinating discipline will wear our skinsuits: it will be an important opportunity to get valuable feedback from great professionals and to put the best of our experience – in the field of textile engineering – at their service.”

For the production of the skinsuits, Alé has used state-of-the-art textile technologies and the highest-performance fabrics have been used in the production of these garments.

The skinsuit’s body part is made from Alé’s own Superior Endurance fabric which is highly durable and provides great compression and maximum breathability. The sleeves feature Alé’s Channel Flow fabric which reduces air friction and increases aerodynamics, while the bib shorts are made of Zaffiro; a Lycra Power material which offers high muscle compression and elasticity whilst also being quick drying and ultra-breathable.

The skinsuits will have unique graphics, featuring the national motifs of each of the 27 countries represented by the athletes in the race, along with the UCI Track Champions League logo and space for the riders’ personal sponsors.

Chris Ball, vice president of Cycling Events at Warner Bros. Discovery Sports Europe, comments: “The UCI Track Champions League represents the pinnacle of track cycling, and having partners like Alé, who share our commitment to innovation and excellence, is essential.

“Their cutting-edge skinsuits not only enhance performance but also celebrate the diversity of nations competing in this global event.

“We’re thrilled to continue this collaboration for the 2024 season and look forward to seeing the world’s best riders in action, equipped with the very best.”
