Bridgedale Outdoor has announced a partnership with VeloBrands as exclusive UK distributor for the recently launched MTB range of socks.
This collection of socks was developed following extensive research with Mountain Bikers over a three-year period.
According to Bridgedale Outdoor, the result is “the world’s first technical MTB sock collection”, which embodies Bridgedale’s DNA of comfort and durability that is present throughout its hike, trail run and ski collections.
Bridgedale have been knitting technical socks in its factory in Northern Ireland for more than 100 years and are known globally for comfort and durability.
The brand is one of the UK’s leading technical outdoor sock manufacturers and sells into 45 countries across the globe.
Commenting on the partnership, Mark Brennan, Bridgedale’s managing director, said, “VeloBrands are an established, well respected, bike specialist distributor based in the south west of England.
“In addition to developing and owning their own successful Juice Lubes brand, they have been representing premium brands such as Kask, Bike Finder, and Absolute Black in the bike market since 2010.
“They are the perfect fit for Bridgedale bringing us industry knowledge and branding building expertise in the UK cycle distribution channel. We are excited to work with them to develop the Bridgedale brand with a new group of Consumers and retailers and look forward to a long and successful partnership.”
VeloBrands has been expanding its portfolio in recent months and the addition of Bridgedale Outdoor will complement its offering.
In November last year, the distributor announced an exclusive distribution partnership with Capgo, well-known producers of high-quality cable and core items for shifting and braking systems.
VeloBrands also added Veloe e-cargo bikes and Jack the Bike Rack to its portfolio of products.
Italian bike brand Veloe aims to offer stylish, versatile and easy to handle utility bikes for families.
Veloe bikes also come with a selection of Bosch and Shimano motor systems, along with a host of accessories so the bikes can be adapted to the rider’s needs.
Jack the Bike Rack is a universal fit front bicycle rack that offers tool free fitting in under one minute.
