Sevenoaks Bike Festival to take place next month

Sevenoaks Bikes and Wisper Electric Bikes are organising a new cycle event.

The Sevenoaks Bike Festival will be held at the Vine Gardens in Sevenoaks from 10am to 4pm on Saturday, September 21.

The organisers are set to welcome more than 10 e-bike and bike brands who will be offering test rides, along with a host of other products.

This year’s event is a local show, a precursor to a larger regional event to be held early next summer.

The 2025 event will offer the rider longer test tracks both on and off road with plans to run the Sevenoaks Bike Festival annually and build to make it a national event by 2027.

A spokesperson for the event said: “Unlike other cycling events the Sevenoaks Bike Festival will offer free admission to the public.

“Sevenoaks Bike Festival is a not-for-profit organisation run by the cycle industry for the cycle industry, therefore stand prices for exhibitors will be very much lower than other shows.

“We believe the festival will attract more diverse, smaller bike related brands and maybe persuade larger brands to re-engage with shows, a few have already shown an interest in participating next year.

Exhibitors at the 2024 event include: Orbea, Scott, Raleigh, Haibike, Wisper, Tern, Moustache, ICE Bike recumbents, GoCycle, MiRider, Lazer Helmets, The Bike Register, Krypotonite, Kent Vineyard bike tours, Country Hire and Go, Sevenoaks Bike Warehouse, Energise e-bikes, E-bikes Direct, Sevenoaks Tri Club, Meridian Cycle Club, Back Pedal bike security, Kent Police, ETA bike insurance/roadside assistance, The Veteran Cycle Club, (antique bikes), a 1950’s re-enactment bike workshop, Angry Pablo, Back Pedal GPS Tracking and Recovery, Sustrans via Cycle Lewis.

Anyone from the cycle industry that would like to become a part of the 2025 event management team should get in touch with Tim Dibble via: 01732 926699 or by email at: tim@sevenoaksbikefestival.com.
