Shimano renews Sea Otter Europe sponsorship

Shimano has once again renewed its participation in the Sea Otter Europe Costa Brava Girona by Continental 2024 cycling festival.

The Japanese brand will be a silver sponsor and will also have a large exhibition space, presenting its new products to the more than 60,000 visitors expected to come to the festival in Girona.

In addition to this, Shimano will also be present at the festival as the main sponsor of the last race of the Shimano Super Cup Massi.

Cristina Pizarro, marketing director of Shimano Iberia comments: “Sea Otter Europe Costa Brava Girona by Continental offers Shimano the great opportunity to be close to our end customers, our partners and bike manufacturers, all in the same place, encouraging interaction with them; as well as showing customers the latest components, footwear, helmets… so that they can touch them and talk directly with us, something that is very valuable for Shimano.”

For event organisers Ocisport, “the participation of a powerful and internationally prestigious brand like Shimano as a sponsor of Sea Otter Europe Costa Brava Girona by Continental 2024 proves how attractive the festival is for top international brands”.

A show with growing appeal for public and brands alike

Since the European show began in Girona in 2017, and the incorporation of the Euro Mobility Festival in the 2022 edition, growth has been continuous, except for during the Covid-19 pandemic.

For the 2024 edition, the available space was once again expanded by 15% compared to the 2023 edition, which means that more than 40,000 square metres of exhibition space will be available.

Late February saw 80% of the total space available for the festival already booked, and organisers expect to be fully booked again for the 2024 edition, to be held from Friday, September 20, through Sunday, September 22.

More than 400 brands attended the seventh edition in 2023, and more than 330 of them have already confirmed and booked their space for the 2024 edition. The expectation is that almost all will again exhibit at the show.
