Panaracer to join forces with the UCI Gravel World Series

Japanese tyre manufacturer Panaracer has announced a new partnership with the UCI Gravel World Series.

With over a decade of experience designing high-performance gravel tyres, Panaracer now brings its dedicated five-tyre GravelKing range to the UCI global gravel series.

Since the launch of the original GravelKing in 2014, Panaracer has been at the forefront of gravel cycling tyre design and production.

Manufactured exclusively in the company’s own factory in Japan, GravelKing tyres have been designed and developed to offer something for every style of gravel riding and racing.

The GravelKing range currently includes five distinct models, each engineered to meet the demands of various terrains:

  • GravelKing Slick
  • GravelKing SK
  • GravelKing SS
  • GravelKing EXT
  • GravelKing X1 – the latest addition to join the range

“We’re extremely excited to be partnering with the UCI Gravel World Series,” says Jeff Zell, Panaracer’s Global Go-To Guy. “Doing so brings together some of the most demanding, exciting, and varied racing from around the world with tyres made for every riding style and conditions over any terrain.”

GravelKing turns 10: A  a top-down remodel to celebrate a decade in production

In March of this year Panaracer unveiled a top-down remodel of the GravelKing line, in part as a celebration of the 10th anniversary of the original Gravelking.

Although the brand has updated details in production over the last 10 years – over the last two years, the brand has been developing new tech and specification for the entire product line – the speed in which wheels and especially gravel related wheels and rims have evolved necessitated a reworking of the line from the ground up.

A decade ago, the original GravelKing spec was designed around a 17mm inner width rim. And while modified in the years since, 2024 brings better hookless rim compatibility, ease of mounting, and design specs that are more in line with where gravel is going into the future.

The full GravelKing range is available via UK distributor ZyroFisher.
