Exhibitor space for Rouleur Live 2024 has now completely sold out with 81 brands set to attend the show in London at The Truman Brewery from Thursday, November 14, to Saturday November 16, 2024.

This year will see more exhibitor space in the venue as the organisers have have moved the visitor check in desks and cloakroom to the ground floor.

Also on the ground floor is a new addition to the show – The Lowdown exhibitor area, presented by Conductor – a set of meeting rooms around a central space, offering flexible opportunities for exhibitors to network and hold business meetings with retailers, clients, and ambassadors.

While Rouleur Live is a consumer show, the event recognises the importance of it in the UK cycling calendar and the area is a symbol of its desire to help provide value to the cycling industry.

This year, Conductor has created an identity that captures the idea of Rouleur Live being “an explosive celebration of cycling culture”, packed with stars of the peloton, cutting-edge tech, brands and on-stage content.

With Tom Pidcock, Kasia Niewiadoma and Luke Rowe leading the line-up on stage, the show experience will once again be unique and impactful.

Tickets to the show are also on the way to selling out, with more tickets sold than ever before at this stage.

Last year, all three days were sold out and 2024 is on track to achieve that, even with an increased capacity.

Conductor – the creative agency dedicated to cycling and member of Gruppo Media – the owners of Rouleur, have launched Conductor Productions.

Utilising decades of campaign creation and image-making experience across the Conductor and Rouleur teams, the new department will support brands in creating film and photography that stands out in today’s visually cluttered world.

Over many years, the team, led by MJ Jackson and Jonathan Davies, have created a body of work that covers the entire spectrum of marketing and brand-building activity – from brand hype films to new collection and production launches, event, athlete and ambassador activations and brand asset library creation.

Working across stills and motion, the Conductor Productions team is adept at crafting assets that deliver the story of the product or brand in a highly creative manner of exceptional quality.

Conductor co-founder, MJ Jackson said: “Whether shooting new film and photography, refreshing existing assets or a mixture of both, Conductor Productions look beyond the world of cycling for inspiration and aim to elevate the visual language of the sport we all love.”

Coinciding with the announcement, Conductor Productions and Ribble have collaborated on the launch of the new Ribble Allroad Road+ Collection

Shot in Andorra over two days, the project takes inspiration from the classic films of Jean-Luc Godard and iconic cinematic moments such as the opening scene of The Italian Job. The Road + film tells the story of four friends who are inspired, by a mysterious character, to ‘add more adventure’ to their cycling.

Using this narrative, the film beautifully showcases the range of models in the collection – the competitive Allroad SL, top-of-the-range Allroad SL R and the e-road bike version – Allroad SL R e.

Selecting an Andorran-based team including, Nik Howe, Alex de Cortada and stills photographer Brazo di Hierro, the concept was brought to life across the short film and a wide selection of stills that captured the spirit of the new collection.

Ribble Head of Marketing and PR, Sasha Castling said: “From initial briefing and discussions the team quickly brought to life our ideation with a stunning genre-challenging production, capturing the romance of riding through the intrigue and the unknown of European cinematography and all set in a stunning location.

“Conductor Productions absolutely delivered the inspirational cycling film I was looking for. And that soundtrack…”

Rouleur 2023

Booking for stands at Rouleur Live 2024 is now open with the show returning to the Truman Brewery, London from Thursday, November 14, to Saturday November 16, 2024.

Bigger and better, Rouleur Live 2023 at the Truman Brewery was the largest and best show to date – and by some distance.

The organisers sold out of tickets and stands, seeing more than 6,000 attendees visit the show and 70 brands exhibiting.

Rouleur 2023

Despite market conditions, cycling shows remain important cultural events in the industry and are a vital opportunity to meet and communicate with the consumer audience and activate new and existing brand activity.

Rouleur’s place in the sport and its multimedia channels mean that this activation reaches global audiences far beyond London.

Key information from 2023

– More than 6,000 attendees over 3 days
– 43% more tickets sold than ever before
– 98% customer satisfaction
– 92% of visitors spent more than three hours at the show
– 50% first-time visitors

Rouleur 2023

Visitors responded to a post-show survey and confirmed that Rouleur Live 2023 was the most successful show to date, by all metrics.

Most importantly, the results show a 98% satisfaction with the show, with 92% of people spending more than three hours at the show – a level of engagement that reflects the varied and wide extent of content and exhibitors at Rouleur Live.

Nine out of 10 people say that they are likely to buy something that they hadn’t seen before the show.

Rouleur 2023

A high percentage of respondents said they spent, or committed to spend, in excess of £500 at the show, contributing to the estimated spend (or commitment to spend) at the event of more than £1.3 million.

The audience was 50% first time visitors, remaining mainly an ABC1 demographic, who spend a lot on all aspects of their cycling life, and 17% of the audience were women as Rouleur continues to increase the diversity of the show on and off stage.

Gruppo Media Ltd, the publisher of Rouleur and organiser of Rouleur Live events, has announced the acquisition of a majority stake in Conductor, a creative agency dedicated to cycling.

The transaction cements the ambitions of Gruppo Media to become a “comprehensive solution” for brands covering the entire marketing and sales funnel, offering a suite of creative services to help elevate brands throughout the cycling industry.

Conductor will continue to operate as an independent agency that offers marketing and creative services, now  augmented with Gruppo Media’s wider storytelling and data expertise through its network of writers, photographers, film makers and event experience.

Although Gruppo Media is best known for its print magazines, now distributed to nearly 30,000 subscribers in more than 60 countries, the group has evolved into a digital publisher and direct-to-consumer organisation.

Matteo Cassina, owner of Gruppo Media, said: “I have known MJ and Jonathan, the founders of Conductor, for over five years and feel very excited about working together in this new venture. The quality of work and reputation of the team is exceptional and I feel very privileged to be able to work together in this new chapter of our company.”

“Behind the glossy pages of the magazine that defines our business we have been building a highly sophisticated organisation that combines design, photography, and storytelling with the latest tech.

“The inclusion of the services provided by Conductor will cement our relationship with our commercial partners and enable us to offer our services on a much broader scale. This is the natural evolution of our business and an element of our offering that has been missing for many years now.”

Operating from a London office in Somerset House, Conductor will continue to work with brands on a number of services, including brand creation, product and awareness campaigns, content strategy and creation, paid and organic digital marketing and PR, event and sponsorship activations, website and app design and more.

This new chapter for Conductor, originally formed in 2014, aims to redefine creative and marketing support for the world’s leading cycling brands.

Jonathan Davies, co-founder of Conductor, said: “Creativity and Technology are two of the most important factors in the success of a brand and in this constantly evolving world, when harnessed effectively, they can surprise, delight and engage the audience.

“We founded Conductor to create inspiring, bold work that matters and is a reflection of our passion for cycling. The simple act of riding a bike creates lifelong memories, enables discovery and empowers change.”

MJ Jackson, co-founder of Conductor, added: “We are extremely excited about this new phase of Conductor. By joining forces with Gruppo Media, we are empowered to continue to work with leading brands, deliver exceptional, transformational projects and provide a level of client service that leads to long-term relationships.”

The show will be the first opportunity for the press and public to see the latest Muov bikes, which the brand said have seen significant development since their debut at last year’s show.

CEO and co-founder Christoph Wilfert and the team will be on hand to run through the new features, the opening of pre-orders and an upcoming Crowdcube campaign.

Previously called Muoverti, Muov recently announced its new road bike and its triathlon/TT bike frame which allow riders to train in an aerodynamic time trial position indoors with digital braking and gear shifting, which will be rideable on the stand. The brand’s proprietary tilting mechanism simulates real-life cornering and balancing, alleviating excessive saddle pressure caused by traditional static indoor bikes.

With pre-orders set to open imminently, Rouleur Live will offer prospective Muov owners a chance to experience and test a bike before they enter production.

Rouleur has announced Edward Pickering as its new editor.

Having led the respected Procycling magazine for a number of years, which ceased publication after its January 2022 issue, Pickering has joined Rouleur to continue its growth, celebrating cycling culture in the peloton and beyond.

Pickering has been a cycling journalist for 20 years, covering road races all around the world and interviewing many of the sport’s biggest stars, past and present. He has also written several books on cycling, including The Yellow Jersey Club and Ronde, an exploration of the Tour of Flanders.

After a period of 18 months that has seen subscriptions to Rouleur triple and digital traffic increase even more, Pickering has joined Rouleur’s international editorial leadership group of Olga Àbalos (Volata) and Emilio Previtali (Rouleur Italia) to build a growing editorial team working across three languages.

Pickering said: “I’m very happy to join the team at Rouleur, and build on the brilliant work done by previous editors Andy McGrath and Ian Cleverly in making it such a ground-breaking magazine. Rouleur has a talented team of contributors and I’m looking forward to working with them.

Rouleur has an unparalleled reputation in the cycling world for the depth of its coverage, its innovation in subject matter and the sheer quality of its words and pictures. It’s also, simply, a beautiful publication that is always a pleasure to read.”

Last year was Rouleur’s most successful year in its history, and that growth continues in 2022. After the successful return of last November’s Rouleur Live, this year the event will take place in a new and exciting venue, to be announced soon.

A statement from Rouleur said: “With Andy McGrath and Ian Cleverly moving on to take a different direction in their careers, we are incredibly grateful for their contribution to growing Rouleur into what it has become.

“Under their combined leadership over the last decade, Rouleur has grown into a cultural force, a unique outlet for the human stories that make cycling so special. They will forever be friends of the magazine and we wish them all the best in their future endeavours.”
