Scicon Sports launches performance and lifestyle eyewear collections

Scicon Sports has announced the launch of a range of technical eyewear.

The sports performance eyewear range will feature photochromic NXT lenses thanks to a partnership with Essilor Sun Solution. The new range features both a Performance category and a Sport Lifestyle category, each offering a range of options to provide the “perfect fit on or off the bike”. Performance, consisting of the Aerotech and Aerocomfort options, each offer either a standard lens size or larger XL version. The Aerotech features a single interchangeable SCN-XT photochromic lens, while the Aerocomfort model features two interchangeable lenses. All models in the range are made entirely in Italy.

Speaking of the new range and Scicon Sports’ technical partnership with Essilor Sun Solution, Claudio Fantin, Scicon Sports marketing strategist and eyewear specialist said: “Having spent over 20 years in the sports eyewear sector working with world-class athletes, I’ve learnt every small detail of the production and development process of these products. This experience meant that when Scicon decided to enter this world, working with Essilor Sun Solution NXT lenses was our priority and we are proud to collaborate with them.”

Christophe Mayet, marketing VP of Essilor Sun Solution, added: “We analysed the Scicon proposal and immediately realised that they have everything they need to be able to obtain important results in the sport sunglasses market. Their search for details and pursuit of finding the perfect visual solution finds us in tune and we are looking forward to developing new vision solutions together.”

Both the Aerotech and Aerocomfort sunglasses come in two lens size options, either standard or XL. Each then features three different frame colourways, with a choice of four different coloured lenses, creating 12 SKUs for each.

The Sport Lifestyle category features three models: Cover, Protector and Phantom. Each utilise the technical Grilamid TR90 frame material as their performance counterparts and zero distorsion flat lenses which offer ‘100% UV protection’. The range is available in three frame colour options and three lens colour options.
