Pinarello has launched three new colourway choices across its Dogma X endurance road bike range.
The Dogma X is now available in Xolar Yellow, Xolar White, and Xolar Sea, expanding the original colour offering that included Xolar Black and Xolar Green, first introduced at the bike’s launch in September 2023.
The Dogma X is designed specifically for riders who enjoy long days in the saddle. With this in mind, the bike features the Italian brand’s unique X-Stay technology, coupled with substantial tyre clearance, and an endurance geometry unique to the Dogma X model.
The technical design aims to strike the perfect balance of performance and ride comfort, with the brand aiming to reshape how riders think about endurance and speed.
Comfort and performance
Leveraging modern carbon technology, the Dogma X has a modern endurance bike with appropriate 35mm tyre clearance – just one element in a design which “aims to provide an unrivalled ride experience”.
To further improve ride comfort, the Italian brand has designed a state-of-the-art X-Stays suspension system to absorb vibrations without sacrificing frame weight or BB stiffness.
The X-Stays are based on carefully chosen carbon fibre layup patterns – Dogma X uses Toray’s T1100 1K carbon fibre – and a reduced diameter in the curved top stays. This is said to dampen vibrations, whilst increasing lateral stiffness, to compensate for the elongation of the chain stays.
Brand design language
The asymmetrical nature of the Dogma X design is a hallmark of Pinarello’s design language and an integral part of the brand’s DNA.
With the Dogma X frame, this is, the brand states “asymmetrically designed to balance the greater torsional forces imparted by the chain, providing riders with a perfectly symmetrical ride.”
X Series range overview
Beyond the Dogma X, the brand has a range of endurance options, with the expanded X Series endurance range. At launch, in September of 2023, the range included X9, X7 and X5, in addition to the X3 and X1 that were released earlier in the year.
Rather than focusing solely on performance, the X Series, which complements the Dogma X, has also been designed to maximise rider comfort and vibration absorption, via the use of a specific carbon fibre layup and a redesigned rear triangle.
