Cube bikes introduce X-Connect plug-and-play light system

With the introduction of X-Connect, Cube bikes has sought to make it simpler to equip bikes with new or upgraded lighting.

X-Connect, a plug-and-play solution, enables riders to connect lights quickly, reducing the hassle and complicated steps often associated with mounting and removing lights.

The X-Connect comes standard on several Cube e-bikes in the 2025 collection – with models such as the Reaction Hybrid and Stereo Hybrid series – with the connector seamlessly integrated into the headset.

On other e-bikes, like the Kathmandu Hybrid, X-Connect is semi-integrated, with the cable emerging from the headtube for quick and easy lighting installation.

E-bikes without the X-Connect connector, but featuring the Bosch Smart System can also benefit from this technology using a special BES3-to-X-Connect cable.

Even for traditional bikes, Cube offers a solution: the ACID Power Bank 37, which enables riders to make the most of the new X-Connect lighting system.

To get the best out of X-Connect, Cube is introducing three high-quality front lights from ACID, tailored to meet cyclists’ needs:

  • ACID PRO-E 200 High Beam
  • ACID PRO-E 150
  • ACID PRO-E 60 CMPT

Click and ready to go

X-Connect lights can be easily attached to bikes using Cube’s FPILink technology. This mounting system, integrated into the stem, provides a central, secure location on your handlebars for mounting accessories or lighting.

FPILink offers a new means to tidy and organise lighting installation, while enabling riders to switch accessories effortlessly.

Standard on several bikes in Cubes’s 2025 collection, the FPILink system is part of a wider component range, which includes a variety of faceplates, a complete stem, a bike computer adapter, and individual FPILink clips.

Cube also offers two non-X-connect lights, including a lighting set.

What makes FPILink so convenient?

  • Centrally located on handlebars: for a sleek and practical look.
  • Easy to use: click accessories into place in seconds.
  • Versatile: suitable for lighting, cameras (GoPro compatible), and other gadgets.

With the combination of X-Connect and FPILink, riders can prepare their bike for any ride—whether it’s a daily commute, adventurous mountain bike trails, or leisurely weekend tours.

The first accessories, like the ACID PRO-E 150 and ACID PRO 60, are already available, with more arriving at CUBE dealers in the coming months.

Overview of the available FPILink products:

  • ACID PRO 60 front light
  • ACID PRO 60 light set
  • ACID Computer Adapter
  • ACID Light adapter FPILink Universal
  • ACID Light adapter FPILink Universal Clip
  • Four different CUBE stem faceplates
  • Complete CUBE stem with FPILink
